Mass is a light weight chair that has a distinctive structural expression with a fine diagonal line through square frame. Chair is constructed with European oak at our workshop and seat and back finished with natural linen webbing.

In Japan, we have a code character 〼 to read “masu”, originating from the old measurement tool for rice and other produces, a wooden box with diagonal divide in the middle which looks like this character. It has a sweet crossover of definitions between English word mass and Japanese word masu.
