Nasu

Gentle simplification

Nasu is a collection of upholstered dining chairs and lounge chairs with a gently enveloping back and a slim suspended seat. After the successful collaboration of Seleri collection with Zilio A&C, Nasu was developed with the brand to fill a missing element in their collection, which mainly consisted of chairs with wooden seating surfaces. We set out to design Zilio A&C’s first fully upholstered chair with hospitality market in mind.

Designed in 2015, 2016 and 2017, Nasu collection is produced by Zilio A&C (IT).

Development of Nasu family

Nasu armchair was first designed and introduced in 2015. The side chair followed in 2016, and lounge chair was introduced in 2017. The chair was designed and developed in close collaboration with Zilio A&C to fit within their production capabilities, with the aim of reducing the production process and elements without compromising the comfort and aesthetics.

The discreet plywood seat base works as the connection points of all other parts, legs and back&arm rest, resulting in the slim profile and weight of the chairs.
