Douglas fir folding screen with two way paper cord hinges, first shown as a part of our installation at Carl Hansen & Søn London showroom during London craft week in May 2025.
Each panels are constructed as torsion box with card paper faces to keep the weight low, in a similar way traditional 襖 sliding doors are made. Blue 市松模様 (ichimatsu-moyo) one side, and dark brown deconstructed pattern on the other side, printed on washi paper.
