Legacy

Legacy: Two Works on Hope and Memory was a Crafts Council exhibition in partnership with Forty Hall & Estate. The exhibition brought together, for the first time, Julian Stair and Clare Twomey who both work in ceramic and explore scale, materials and social context.

Mentsen was commissioned to work on exhibition design for this show, delivering display furniture to contain the contextual interpretation; work and artist information, as well as display tables to house 1,000 bowls of Clare Twomey’s Everyman’s Dream. The exhibition was designed for touring and it had been shown at Saatch Gallery and Forty Hall in 2014, and at First Site in 2018-9.
